However, professional features and settings in export often throw users off balance. Also, it's a good place to start for people who want to get into this field. Many professional post-production studios use it to do color grading and VFX because its top-notch rendering schemes deliver the videos in the best quality. Many thanks in advance for any help / love.DaVinci Resolve is an industry-leading video editor developed by Black Magic and updated to DaVinci Resolve 17. Is anyone else experiencing this? Could it be that the free version is just 'buggy'? I am using the free version and was planning to upgrade to full.but not knowing if this is going to also occur on the full version leaves me pretty unconfident. Trying to diagnose this seems impossible without any sort of consistany or log explaining (such as crashing on the same kind of file each time). I recently updated from 17 to 17.1 to see if this fixes the problem. But render crashes are basically consistent. I can import, edit files and apply effects / audio.anything else required. I have watched numerous tutorials on 'settings' to change to fight this problem but nothing works. It happens whether ive created proxies for the files or not. I'm running this on a render speed of 5 (lowest possible) There is no log to why it happens and it just shuts Resolve down. It doesnt matter what kind of files are included in the project timeline I am choosing to render, whether that be BM RAW / MPEG / MOV or a culmination of all of the above. ![]() I am experiencing a 9 out of 10 Render crash ratio. I am running Resolve 17.1 on Mac OS Catalina / 3.2ghz Quad Core with 24GB RAM and the inbuilt NVIDIA GeForce GT 755M 1 GB. First post here and only because I'm losing my mind (and any sort of workflow)
